Mayweather Calls Broner a Snake!
Things seem to be going from bad to worse in between the so-called ‘brothers’ in boxing, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Adrien Broner as recently in an interview the retired pound-for-pound champion called Broner a ‘snake.’
The wannabe baby-mayweather, Adrien Broner recently posted a video on his instagram that went viral of himself receiving change in Walmart while laughing and then threw the change in the air saying;
“He must not know who I am, I’m AB, I don’t need no change brah!”
The video seemed to spark concern by ‘big brother,’ Floyd Mayweather who when asked, responded to Broner’s actions in what could be considered as a belittling manner. Floyd said:
“If you’re at such a high status and you’ve reached a certain level, you’re supposed to have people going to Walmart for you. Actually, a lot of people in the store didn’t know who he was. They were looking like – Who Are You?”
He also went on to say that Broner is hurting himself. Broner, as we know would not take anyone talking about him lightly and posted a response video basically saying “I’m just like you was before retirement.”
Though it may seem Broner actually has a point, big brother Floyd Mayweather doesn’t seem to care.
Tension between the two have become more apparent since the press conferences between Adrien Broner and Mayweather Promotions’ fighter Ashley Theophane where Broner has repeatedly thrown shade at Theopane and vouches to knock him out within 4 rounds. Broner also mocked the Mayweather Promotions team by calling them ‘Hateweather Promotions.’
During a recent interview with Fighthype, Mayweather sounds as though he’s completely washed his hands with Adrien Broner.
“I’m trying to find out about Adrien Broner is he a boxing promoter, is he a rapper or is he a gangster? The problem that he really needs to focus on is his problem in Cincinnati. I think the best name for him is not ‘The Problem’, it’s ‘Snake’.”
Adrien Broner (31-2-KO23) defends his title on April 1st against Ashley Theophane (39-6-1-KO11) who has said he wants to beat Broner “for Floyd”.
Mayweather believe’s that even if Broner does win, he has little chance of getting any big pay-per-view fights anytime soon as he is just a “free TV type of fighter”.
Although I’d like Theophane to come away with this victory, on paper it looks like Broner will hold on to his title but I doubt we’ll get a stoppage.
Broner or Theophane to win?
